Map Your Show was developed in 2005 by Gardner Publications, Inc. Gardner, founded in 1928, is a leading B2B publisher. Map Your Show was originally developed for the Association for Manufacturing Technology’s IMTS 2006 Show as a component of the overall IMTS.com website, printed Directory of Exhibits, Interactive CD Rom that Gardner was contracted to develop.

The immediate interest the unique floorplan application generated from other exhibition management companies led Gardner to pursue a stand-alone product, and Map Your Show was born!

Gardner's long relationship with AMT and many other associations has offered them unique tradeshow insight. Gardner is uniquely positioned to understand the needs of show management, attendees and exhibitors; and provide tools and products that serve as a real value to all of these constituencies. Gardner produced a CD/Rom Agenda planner for the Tradeshow NPE 2006 (National Plastics Exhibition at McCormick Place), produce the PMTS (Precision Machining Technology Show) for the Precision Machined Products Association, produce Electrocoat Event in conjunction with the Electrocoat Association, among other relationships on events and shows. All of these organizations recognize the excellence that Gardner brings to their partnerships.

In addition to their tradeshow knowledge, Gardner has a fine reputation as a leader in publishing and website development. Gardner’s flagship magazine, Modern Machine Shop, was recognized as one of the Media Power 50 by B2B Magazine in 2002. In 2004, Media Integration Newsletter (min) recognized MMS' innovative use of magazine and website integration by naming it "Best Print/Web Integration" campaign at their Integrated Media Awards Banquet, beating Forbes, National Geographic and Newsweek. min’s Integrated Marketing Awards is the industry’s only awards program solely recognizing the marketing efforts of consumer and b2b magazine publishers.
