IAEE's Newest Chapter: Mid-South

The time has come for IAEE to continue its growth into the middle of the United States, and Map Your Show is thrilled to be a part of the new Mid-South Chapter.

One of my favorite features of Expo! Expo!, IAEE’s annual trade show, is the chapter receptions held during happy hour on the first day of exhibits. Sure, the happy hour aspect plays nicely into why it’s one of my favorite events, but seeing the breakdown of various regions that make up an organization as large as IAEE is pretty cool too.

This is why I’m excited Map Your Show is joining the newly created Mid-South chapter of IAEE, containing members from Ohio, Kentucky, and parts of Indiana and Tennessee. This will be a great opportunity to help highlight how important trade shows and events are to what some refer to as the flyover states.

Sure, we have an office in Washington, DC (hi Syd), and we spend plenty of time traveling to Chicago, Las Vegas, Orlando, and anywhere else there’s a trade show. However, having a group of like-minded individuals who can meet somewhere near our Cincinnati headquarters is exciting. Plus, it was just announced this week that Expo! Expo! will be heading to Louisville, KY in 2020. Now that’s super exciting!

Here’s a look at the newly created chapter:

Executive Committee

  • Mike Cox Chairman, Fern Exposition (KY)
  • Angi Van Berg, Vice Chair, Louisville CVB (KY)
  • Warren Sellers, GIE+Expo, Treasurer (IN)
  • Eli Riley, HIMMS, Secretary (TN)

Board Members At Large

  • Betsy Greenleaf, Jacoby Expo (OH)
  • Ben Dunlap, Map Your Show (OH)
  • Wendy Holliday, PLM World (OH)
  • Julie Lewis, Quest International Users Group (KY)
  • Dave Patrone, Kentucky Exposition Center (KY)
